I design for people, not just screens.

UX/UI designer with a Communication & Multimedia Design degree from Hogeschool van Amsterdam — and five years experienced chef. Five years reading people in real time as a chef. Now I bring that same instinct to interface design. I notice what others miss — I'd love to bring that to your team. Currently looking for my first UX/UI role.

Selected work

How I work

My process follows design thinking, kept simple

01

Understand

Talk to real users, observe how they actually behave, and find the problem worth solving.

02

Ideate

Sketch many directions before committing to one — quantity first, quality second.

03

Prototype

Build something people can actually interact with, from paper to clickable Figma flows.

04

Test & refine

Put it in front of real users, learn what breaks, and go again.

About

I graduated in Communication & Multimedia Design from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam in 2024. During and after that, I spent roughly about five years in total working in hospitality — mainly as a chef, with time behind the bar and on the floor too.

Before design, I spent five years in kitchens and behind the bar. Turns out reading people, staying calm under pressure, and fixing things on the fly translates surprisingly well into good interfaces. Service work means reading what someone needs before they say it, adjusting in real time when something isn’t working, and staying calm when a system breaks down mid-rush. What I enjoy now is putting that same attention into building things — websites, apps, even VR and robots.

I'm currently looking for my first role as a UX/UI designer, and open to junior positions, internships that lead somewhere, and/or freelance projects in the meantime.
